Mazda receives AJAC awards in three categories
Mazda was quite right to celebrate a few weeks ago at the Montreal International Auto Show. Indeed, the Japanese manufacturer received three awards from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada as three of these models finished first in their respective categories.
Mazda CX-9, Mazda CX-5 and Mazda3 win AJAC titles
Indeed, the new Mazda CX-9 and Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda3 all won their respective categories, finishing in front of other new vehicles in their segment after a week of intensive testing that took place in Bowmanville, Ontario in October latest.
The Mazda CX-9, Mazda CX-5 and Mazda3 are therefore nominated for the titles of Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year and Canadian Car of the Year, which will be presented in February at the Toronto International Auto Show.
"The Canadian Car of the Year awards, presented by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada, are the most prestigious automotive awards in the country - and they're extremely hard to win. A vehicle really does have to be the very best in its category, and the competition grows tougher every year," said AJAC President, Mark Richardson. "It's a tremendous achievement for a manufacturer to win one AJAC award in any given year, but it's a remarkable achievement for Mazda Canada to win three in 2018."
